Tracing your Roots

Do a search into your family history and you will be amazed at what you will find.
Genealogy and the search for one's history may vary in detail. This can be as simple as tracing the names of people related to you, forming a family tree, and indicating to which specific family you belong to. This can also be as deep as researching and finding out the personal life of each family member that you are able to find. People search for their families because of various reasons. Some may want to find a relative who have been lost due to circumstances beyond their control. Some examples are mothers who have been separated from their children or were adopted out by the family for many reasons. Also people who have extreme emergencies, like finding a donor for transplants, or need to find out for medical problems they may have inherited.
Modern science has made family history more interesting for people who are serious about their family history. The science of heredity and the study about DNA have made it possible for two people to determine if they belong to the same family line. Many online sites are also available now to help people to find practically anyone, with just a simple search like the one at the bottom of this page.
I have researched my family history back to the 1600's. I have many question that were answered . And was really surprised at the information that I acquired. There are also computer programs which have been specifically designed for this purpose.
